MCCORMICK COUNTY, S.C. – One person was killed in a collision between a motorcycle and a pickup truck in McCormick County, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
The accident happened at approximately 5:15 p.m. on Saturday, November 18th on Upper Mill Road and Whitetown Road just three miles north of Plum Branch. The South Carolina Highway Patrol said a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck attempted to turn left from Upper Mill Road onto Whitetown Road when it was struck by a 1998 Suzuki motorcycle.
The motorcyclist died due to their injuries in the crash. The Chevrolet driver was not injured. Both were the sole occupants of their respective vehicles.
Names involved in this crash have not been released.
The crash remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol. As of Sunday, no charges have been filed.
