A recent McKinsey study found that the majority of managers have used generative A.I. at least once and are exploring ways to implement it further in their work. The most commonly reported uses of generative A.I. tools are in marketing and sales, product and service development, and service operations. Incidentally, this stands in stark contrast to previous technology waves that affected manufacturing the most. Generative A.I.’s strengths in language-based activities and brainstorming have impacted creativity-based positions rather than those requiring physical labor.
